My mom is better than your mom!

I have a mom, and she is awesome. Since I was a kid, I would always defend her honour by bragging to everyone that she is better than any mom in the world. She is the best cook. The best listener. The best friend. And the best in anything that she do. I’m sure that you guys also think the same thing about your mom. I am sure, that no matter where you are, where you came from, what is your school or even where you live, you would always encounter this ongoing debate, who have the best mother.

It’s the “beating around the bushes” kind of debate. Of course we will not get the answer because my mom will always win, and you mom, and his mom, and her mom. Even though I would say my...

Is SPM valid?

SPM…. Well, it’s the beginning of a journey to an unlimited amount of possibilities. For those who doesn’t know, SPM is Malaysian’s higher education exams. It’s similar to the O levels I think. I don’t know about other school, but during my high school days, SPM is a big thing. I mean, really big. Maybe the fact that our school’s only major examination is SPM are one of the few reasons that the teacher and the student’s work their ass off to ensure that all the subject, topics, sub topic and important points are covered.

There are few debates on the validity of SPM. On one side, they say that SPM is an exam that doesn’t give any meaning because the nature of SPM is to grade all...

The teacher of my life

DISCLAIMER: -I wrote this article purely based on my observation. -My grammar is terrible, read at your own risk. -This post may have mixed reviews, but there is a reason why no comment box exist in this blog.

I have always been fascinated in the idea of starting up a company since I was a little kid. At first, when I was little, the thought of possessing endless cash flow was cool. I can travel everywhere, buy comics as much as I want (I was a kid back then), I can eat everything that I want and I can buy a really big house with tons of gaming console. And I want to own Kinokuniya, because I was a kid who loves reading. But as I grew up, things change. I change. But my dream never changes, I want to open up a business, but now, it is not about the money nor it was for the fame. It was for the values that I could give out when I have a lot of money.

For the past few years, I’ve met a...

I love studying. Since the first day I was sent to the kindergarten(why does this word end with “ten”, not “den”?) which is at the age of 3, the sweetness of acquiring new knowledge is always a moment to be savour. Who doesn’t love the taste of knowledge serve hot in a cup of kindness. Those were the days when the teacher was proud of teaching little kids A,B,C and 1,2,3 despite of their low wage and high risk(I can easily name 10 risk of being a kindergarten teacher in my mind). As time passed by, I grew older, enrolled into the public education system, things change. I don’t know about you guys, but learning that our good friend the alphabet(A,B,C) has an evil brother who are...

Dah cakap dah.

Kan aku dah kata,

Jangan pilih dia!

Kau buat tak tahu je,

Lepas semua dah jadi,

Kau tanya aku kenapa?

Kau yang buat keputusan membabi buta,

I told you once and i told you a million times,

They ain’t worth one dime,

They just give you false hope,

That you can only see using a telescope,

And when you found out they just like to mope,

They will trap you with a rope,

That ties around your neck,

And feed you with just a speck,

Of a cheque,

That they salvage from a politically wreck,

Country,

And leave everyone hungry,

Because they only favour their crony,

That only tell them words as sweet as honey,

But in reality,

It’s all just a scam to enlarge their tummy,

Sekarang kau datang kat sini,

Menangisi penyesalan yang hakiki,

Kata kau, tiada esok lagi,

Kerana hari ini,

Akan berlaku revolusi,

Yang aku yakin tak akan menjadi,

10 Commandments of Pitching

Nowadays, it’s really easy to get funding for your startup. The startup environment is really hyped up, because of the high return factors and the community is really helpful in giving advice on how to succeed in creating not just a startup company, but a brand. I have a lot of experience in giving pitches to funder and I had found out the top ten most essential backbone of a great pitch.

10) HAVE FAITH IN YOUR IDEA

Well, for me, this is the most important thing in executing a great startup company. You must trust that your idea can work. You should accept criticism, but you should bare in mind that the foundation of your idea should not be change. The target market, the monetisation package, the development process and the interface can be a variable, but the basic foundation of your idea should be the same. If you try to alter the basic foundation of your idea, it would be hard for...

How I started my first business

I started my first business during high school. I sell t-shirt printing service to the clubs in my school. Business was fantastic. Because I am from a boarding school, the market of printing club t-shirt was basically monopolised by me and my partner, which is my best friend. Sounds harmless? Well, its not as fun as it sound.

At first, business was great. We have good suppliers, good customers and good cash flow. Basically, business was great. We don’t invest in any capital. We only act as the middleman and get commission from our suppliers. After two or three projects, our portfolio was strong enough and people trust us. We know that we are on the right track.

One day, we secure a project with one of the student body in our school. Not a big project, but we know that this will be good for our portfolio. If we can cater to one student body, there’s a chance that we can cater to all...
